BredaBed Cleaning Tips

Surface Cleaning

We recommend cleaning BredaBed surfaces with a damp cloth after installation. For regular cleaning it is fine to use a duster.

  • Occasionally, during transportation, dust will vibrate out of holes and onto the surface, usually a microfiber duster is all that is needed for those surfaces.

  • Fingerprints and grease from the mechanisms can be cleaned with a damp towel with a small amount of dish soap on those areas. Excess grease near the mechanism pivot points can be wiped away with a paper towel.

Removing Labels

The part labels can be removed once assembly is complete. We use EZ peel-off labels that do not typically leave sticker residue behind. If any residue does remain, we recommend using a small amount of Goo Gone cleaner on a paper towel.

When removing part labels, never remove any warning tape or labels!

Slowly peel off each label from a corner, labels are more likely to leave residue behind if the label gets torn off.

Part Edge Cleaning

The edges of the parts may require extra cleaning:

  • In some areas, glue from our manufacturing may still be present. Those areas can be carefully scraped with a utility blade and/or cleaned with denatured alcohol and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pad.

  • Sometimes, during transit, black dust may adhere to the edges. Those areas can be similarly cleaned with denatured alcohol and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pad.

  • Minor cosmetic spots can be filled with the supplied touch-up stick from Hardware Package #10.

The bed should NOT be installed with any major cosmetic issues (scratches, gouges, large chips, etc.). Instead, contact us to see if a replacement is necessary.

Sofa Cleaning

  • For our sofa fabrics (composed of 100% polyester) we recommend spot cleaning with Resolve Upholstery Cleaner.

  • For the vinyl sofas, we recommend warm water and soap for regular cleaning. For spot cleaning vinyl, we recommend mixing baking soda and water into a paste and carefully scrubbing in a circular pattern with a cloth.

Zippered covers and cushions should not be machine washed. Instead, we recommend having those professionally dry cleaned when necessary.
